Sophie Serafino is a violinist, also a singer and songwriter, with a unique blend of pop music. The style evolved after years of experimentation with many musical genres, has been described as entirely unique. Sophie mixes world music and impressionistic sounds with funk, dance and classically inspired strings.

Sophie has received coverage in the Australian & American press for being the first violinist in Australia to perform lead vocals and a lead violin role as well as experiment with hip-hop, drum ‘n’bass and break beats with classical sounds and solo violin, with her first album in 2002 and follow up, Colliding Worlds 2004. A trend followed by many. Even Vanessa Mae had not ventured that far.
